How does the Karma system work?
What is Karma?
Karma is a points system that encourages active participation and mutual support in the Design Karma community. The more feedback you give to other designers, the more points you earn — which you can use to publish your own designs.
How do you earn Karma points?
+1 point per comment
Every time you leave feedback (a comment) on someone else's design, you earn 1 Karma point.
+1 bonus point for useful feedback
If the design's author marks your comment as "useful", you receive an additional bonus point.
How are Karma points spent?
-2 points to publish a design
Every new design publication costs 2 Karma points. This ensures all members actively participate in the community.
Negative Karma
You can have negative Karma (e.g. -1, -2), but you won't be able to publish new designs until you accumulate at least 2 positive points. Simply give feedback on other designs to increase your balance.
Leaderboard & Badges
The platform has a leaderboard showing designers with the most Karma points. You can also earn badges for achievements such as "First Feedback", "First Design Published", "10 Karma Points", and "50 Karma Points".
💡 Tip
The best way to use Design Karma is to give quality, constructive feedback. The more helpful your comments are, the more likely authors are to mark them as "useful" — earning you bonus points and positioning you as a valued community member.
